Imported by Greenfire Farms from Scottland.  The Shetland Hen is a rare, blue egg laying land race whose ancestry dates back to Spanish Galleons over 500 years ago. They have a quiet and gentle personality, excellent foragers who love to roost as high as they can.  
 
Cockbirds- 6.5 lbs
Hens- 4 lbs
Feather Pattern- Black based bird with wild type pattern or gold/silver hackles
Eggs- Blue to green eggs and an occasional speckle.
